Invented to offer the perfect direct-in sound, the SansAmp Classic was a catalyst for the 1989 plug in and play movement. The issue was that with going direct into the desk is that you lose the nuances of the amplifier, and the SansAmp was the solution to this problem. The three position input switch allows you to select the exact Preamp style you want, whether that’s using it to shred solos, play bustling rhythms, or to elevate your bass playing to another level. The SansAmp Classic works wonders for your tone.
This beautiful pedal comes with eight switches, all of which alter different aspects of the pedal's sound. If you want your instrument's sound to be more present, then switches one and two give you a mid-boost to truly draw out your sound. The third switch gives you more bass with a low drive, while switches four to eight allow you to make adjustments to the overall setup of the emulated amplifier with a clean sound, close miking, vintage tubes, it all works to save your tone from the mundane DI death.
Everything has been designed to give you a plethora of options at your feet, and that includes the controls. There are four separate dials that you can adjust almost every aspect with, whether that is dialling up the drive, increasing the output level, placing more presence in your tone, or the High dial which compensates for the high-end dialling in more tantalising frequencies. Outright distortion or crystal clear cleans - it can do it all.
