The Tech 21 Geddy Lee Signature 1u RackMount is a streamlined preamp that features parallel pre-amping and including two separate preamps called drive and deep that run in parallel. The drive amp section is based upon the versatile SansAmp RPM, providing you with a hugely versatile range of tones that can be accessed and re-shaped to help you find your own unique voice. The deep pre-amp section offers low end boost for thick, meaty tones that will cut through any mix for those lead and solo moments on stage. What's more, for an additional effect the EQ curve is pre-set to Geddy's personal specs - so you can channel that legendary sound, making it your own.
You can use the blend to adjust the ratio of SansAmp tube amp emulation and your direct signal for the perfect tone. The sweepable parametric EQ allows you to achieve 170 Hz to 3.0 kHz and cut/boost 12dB, with an additional saturation control for low-end beef as well as a separate level control - giving you the ultimate creative control. What's more, there is an effect loop with a mix 50/50 switch and a tuner output, helping you keep track of your tuning at all times on stage, at home or in the studio.

Geddy Lee is a Canadian born musician, singer and songwriter primarily known as the lead vocalist and bassist in the Canadian rock group Rush. Lee's style and technique on the bass guitar has inspired many bassists over the years, and his work is still as popular today as it was in the 1970s. Geddy has used the SansAmp RBI and/or the SansAmp RPM in his rig since 2001, and has recently partnered with Tech 21 to design a signature SansAmp, the GED-2112. This challenging collaboration involved minimising powerful equipment into a single rackspace, resulting in a new format for Parallel Pre-Amping, with two separate internal pre-amps that run in parallel.
