The Meinl Planetary Tuning Forks have been designed to match the frequencies of the sun, moon and planets, with each one being tuned to produce the corresponding frequency of the celestial body. Meinl reverts to the calculations of the Swiss mathematician and musicologist Hans Cousto, who in 1978 discovered the natural law of the cosmic octave. To get the actual frequencies, the calculations are made on the basis of rotation and rotation times of the planets. The tuning forks have been designed for use in therapeutic applications such as yoga, sound massage, meditation and more. The Planetary Forks are part of Meinl's Sonic Energy collection.
